Hugo is the horse that started Kristina's passion for Spanish horses. The stallion was bred at a top hacienda in the Andalusia countryside and was to be the boss's son's own horse.
Luckily for Kristina, she was assigned to ride Hugo for the full week she visited the family and soon came to understand why Hugo was so special to this family - his conformation and colouring were outstanding, but he knew he was special. He had a star quality that Kristina had only dreamed of finding in a horse, and Hugo loved to learn.
Heartbroken at the thought of having to part with Hugo after her week with the family friends, she was thrilled to bits when the boss's son admitted he did not want his own horse. He was far happier riding lots of horses, and promised to send Hugo to England to be Kristina's foundation horse.
She didn't actually believe him - Hugo was worth a fortune to the family, so she couldn't believe her eyes when the hired truck came up the driveway and the big grey stallion was inside.
Now a regular sight on the dressage circuit, Hugo is rapidly creating more popularity for our stable, as well as serving Kristina proud. He will soon begin breeding.
